Wave At The Bus

So we've all been embarassed by our parents before, right? I bet not as much as this guy!
This dad has been dressing up and waving to his son's bus every day this year, always in a different costume. This blog link has pictures of every single day he's waved. Super funny/frightening!...

Band + Procrastination

So I know I'm, like, the worst procrastinator, but this is by far the worst. These pictures are from the band trip we took in November :)

Me and Megan waiting to leave from DHMS.

Waiting in line at McDonalds...

Who said teenagers are too old for the playland? :D

Megan ;)

This picture would be good on it's own (Billy's face, Lily being the ninja as always, etc etc) but look in the top right corner. That lady was just sitting there alone for about an hour. We felt bad for her, but then laughed when we realized that I accidently took a stalker picture of her! :)

Trying on dresses is a tradition when on band trips. Don't ask why, it just is.

Anybody need a baby? cause they're on sale at Macy's!

SNAPE!! He's my favorite character out of all the books, partially because whoever is the actor does a great job, but also because his character has so much depth, and he always says and does things that you never see coming.

"I wear my sunglasses at night, so I can so I can..... um... sing the lyrics that nobody knows...." ;)

My portable boyfriend! He's actually just a squishy rainbow pillow from Macy's, but it's really comfortable.

Lovely, isn't it? This messy sleeping area is yet another band tradition.

Beautiful bibbers

Not counting the hours when we were asleep, our time was mostly spent in these lovely middle school locker rooms.

This picture was taken a few minutes after our final competition at Auburn. We were soaked from the constant drizzle that is perpetually falling in Western Washington, but we were also super pumped from the great performance and happy! :)

The final result of our last time packing the trailer. It's probably the worst part about Pit, but loading can be fun.

We brought tons of glo sticks for the last night, and they looked really cool reflecting off of the gym floor. A massive glo stick war also took place! :)

The ride home...

Alex gave us these gifts, as well as the t-shirt shown below, as her goodbye... I love the picture frame!

I always get questions when I wear this shirt.... So to make a long story short, they were tears of joy! ;)

FYI- Carrots Don't Float

It started out like any other dinner. Everyone sitting around the table eating, talking about church that day and enjoying the meatloaf. Then, Cameron realized something was very different tonight. Something almost.... creepy. Somehow, the ketchup on his meatloaf was in the exact shape of a seal!

Compare to the picture below- freaky, is it not?

Then, because dinner wasn't already weird enough, Andrew had to experiment and find out if carrots floated. We now know that carrots, though deceivingly lightweight, tend to sink when placed into water. Thank you, Andrew. I'm sure that eventually, we'll all be glad that we know carrots don't float.

Andrew Smith, Football Star... kind of.

A few months ago, we found some old football pants. Andrew, of course, had to try them on and stuff his clothing with pillows. These pictures show what came of that adventure....

Lovely, isn't it?

Randomness, thy name is Brett

These are pictures that Brett took while playing around with my camera.... a while ago. The clock, I think, actually looks kinda cool, but the eye is just..... superbly weird. I don't know how he did that (we haven't been able to replicate it...) but it sure looks cool!

Two Months of Marching Band

Two months have passed since marching band began and we are doing AWESOME!!! Sure we have no lif, but I've heard it said that Band with no social life is better than a social life with no band.
This is how we're doing our hair for competitions/performances. My hair wasn't long enough, so the bun you see is actually fake hair that can be attached to my tiny little ponytail!
Stephen has a part in the show where he is killed and has to lay on the ground for a while... He got to sleep for about an hour while they learned the drill for this part of the show.

PIT!

On the last Saturday rehersal, everyone was super tired, and during the lunch break there were sleeping marchers everywhere!

Sleeping Tyler...

Sleeping Lily

Sleeping Billy...
Collin in his color guard hair and make-up.

At the football games, there's a garbage can that's painted camo, and we found a turtle on it!

The drum majors and red shirts waiting to be marched into the river.

Mr. Russell, the band director.

A pie is smashed into Conner's face. :)

Pies were auctioned off to smash in people's faces. This is the drumline smashing one in Alex's face (Alex is a snare drum).

Brett, Billy and Alyssa

Billy.... Loving the ponytail ;)

LILY !

As I'm sure you can guess, Marching Band gets a little crazy. These pictures are just evidence I'm using to prove my point.
