This past week was Girls Camp for our ward, and my first time as a YCL! It was so much fun! We went to this place called Ohanapecosh (up by Mount Ranier) and everything was super awesome :) While we were there, we YCL's wrote a little song about camp. It started out as a song about being cold, but it kind of transformed into what you see below:
CAMP (to the tune of Taylor Swift's "Mean")
You're hiking down the trail
And your feet are sore and you really need a bathroom
You are wishing you were back at camp
Cause you really want a blanket
You left your coat at camp
And you wore capris and your legs are freezing
Pictures take up too much time
But that won't get me down
Cause I'm at Girls Camp
And I have got a pillow pet
Someday I'll be back in my own bedroom
But for now I guess I'll just share a tent

But for now I'll just use a stall
With no soap at all...

You haven't taken a shower in three days

I love my YCL's
They have given me some candy
Now I'm bouncing off the trees
Someday I'll be heading home to a shower
And all camps ever gonna be is dirt
Someday I'll be washing my clothes in my washer
Ohanapecosh will go down my drain
But it won't leave my brain
And I can see me years from now looking back
On all my camp mem'ries
The hikes, the crafts and the fires

Staying up then wishing that I had gone to bed at ten
But we stayed up laughing and I will never forget
We went to bed at one.
