Help!

As some of you know, I've been teaching piano for a few weeks. But I have a small problem- 30 minutes of piano just isn't interesting for children of 6 years. Which half of my students are. I need to make things interesting for them, but I really can't think of any games that would be benificial. Does anyone have ideas?
On a different topic, our first marching band competition is a week and a half away. AHHH! The Front Ensemble (or is it Center now?) rehersal was very frustrating last night. Our parts are harder than before (4 mallets, baby), and we're having a hard time listening in. If this keeps up, we're toast!
Anyways, if anyone has ideas for fun musical games, please tell me!

If you need a good laugh....

This is a great video! It's only 24 seconds long, but I don't think I've ever laughed more at a Youtube video before. True, it may be because I know the victim, but it's still an awesome video! Check it out:

P.S.- KaHSdrummer (or whatever the name of the poster is) has 2 or 3 more vidoes of our Marching Band, if you couldn't find them before... His vibraphone version of Claire de Lune is awesome, too.

Blog Numero Uno!

Hello, blogging world! After posting on the family blog, I decided to start my own. Don't worry, I'll still be adding to The Short and Tall of Things, but this will be where I post more often.
Some of you know that I have been in marching band since August. Well, now you can finally see what I've been working so hard at! Go to www.youtube.com and search for "Kamiakin Scarlet Tide Marching Band". Don't pay any attention to the stuff from previous years, but please do pay attention to the 2009 stuff! I'm on the marimba, if you can spot me!
More later...
